After I left Kenya last year in August, teaching the women of three villages on how to make Lillibets, I go devastating news from Nakuru. We couldn’t visit all the schools in the area. Just after the school holidays girl in the village committed suicide. Her teacher told her that she is filty and smell akward, because she could not afford to buy sanitary towels. Through our project it is now possible for the women to manufacture their own towels and distribute it. Lillibet Project is urgently looking for volunteers to help us making material sanitary towels. Until now we supplied many school girls in the Northern Cape, Gauteng, Uganda and Kenya with towels. The business who sponsored a worker in our sewing room, is not able to do it anymore due to loss of income through Covid 19. Therefor we are dependent on volunteers to help us. If you are in the northern suburbs of Cape Town or Pretoria North area, please contact us so that we can connect you with a group.

I am so proud of The Lillibet team in Pretoria, together with Martie Coetzee. They had their 2nd workshop yesterday. Martie was a bit nervous, as she is not a regular seamstress, but after I gave her some quick tips last week, she succeeded in making a set of Lillibets herself.

We are expanding all over Africa. Nico Vicky Van Wyk and Nerina, the CEO of The Lillibet Project met each other yesterday afternoon to discuss how we can work together in the future, sending the sanitary packs to Malawi. I specifically prayed to God to give me connections, meaning other missionaries, through whom we can distribute the project as I cant do everything on my own.God answered my prayers, sending Ronel Stringer, Theunis Magda Scheepers and Vicky, people whom I didnt know before, but through His divine appointments, we are connected.Thank you Jesus, You are awesome!!On the other side, Atud Clovis is also interested in distributing the project in Camaroon. We really pray that He will make a way to go there as well.
