About Us

Every woman knows and understands what it is like to have menstrual periods. Hopefully, a woman close to you has spent enough time to prepare you for that, but, in fact, a large proportion of women around the world are never properly informed. So, when a young girl has her first period or “period”, it is in many cases unexpected and even traumatic.
That is why “Project Lilly” was started, to give dignity back to young girls and women. It is a known fact that girls who do not have access to proper sanitary products miss several weeks out of every school year just because they are menstruating. They fall behind with their classes, then struggle to catch up on work and eventually leave school simply because they cannot pass. People’s lives are dramatically disrupted and even ruined by something as simple as a sanitary napkin …
Project Lilly wants to help girls reach their full potential by assisting them to overcome the unique challenges they face.

Our Vision:

According to available statistics, there are approximately 693 million
women across Africa. Because of the lack of menstrual products, many girls
miss out on school, leave school at an early age and end up falling
pregnant and uneducated.
We want to help those girls reach their full potential by training them how
to make their own reusable sanitary wear and equipping them with the skills
and equipment to train others in their community.
